Admission processes for New Zealand universities are typically straightforward and accessible. However, it is worth noting that the University of Auckland may present exceptions to this general trend.

University Entrance (UE) is the minimum requirement for students in New Zealand to transition from secondary school to a university. To be awarded UE, you need to meet the following criteria:

  • Obtain 14 credits at NCEA Level 3 in each of three approved subjects.

  • 10 Literacy credits at level 2 or above

  • 10 Numeracy credits at level 1 or above
